Information about Pioneer Basic (community and commercial)

The premise of Pioneer Basic is to give you a solid desktop that you customize to your liking. Frontier contained many applications that many users didn't use or want making it confusing to them, especially in business environments. Pioneer Basic includes only what is needed to get started and learn your new operating system. Many partners preconfigure your Pioneer to what you want also for a small fee.

If enough people ask for something we'll add it! More community projects are coming and Technalign is making a commitment to take proceeds and reinvest them in community projects our users want! Commercial Version (Boxed Set)
All Pioneer Basic Products are sold by retailers nationwide or can be downloaded with community support. The products come with full support from our partners and chances are you can find a retailer close to you in the United States and Canada with over 800 nationwide in the US and Canada. The partner pages are not up to date since they are adding an average of 8 to 10 per day.

Partners can assist you with installation right down to adding required hardware and applications to customize your system to what you need and want! Rates will vary by Partner of course!

Community Edition (Download) The community edition of Pioneer is FREE. We expect people to abide by the GPL and not sell these for profit. This means that if you are going to charge someone for a service on the download product, you need to purchase a commerical product. We don't want to see Pioneer Basic or Pioneer EX to be sold for profit and will do anything in our power to stop this. The Pioneer Community Edition is FREE, it's not for sale and should never be.
