Technalign releases Pioneer Stagecoach the combined workstation and server

Cedaredge, CO, May 17, 2007: Technalign, Inc. has released the final version of Pioneer Stagecoach with complete workstation and server support. Stagecoach brings a new solution to the SOHO market with the new workstation/server combination allowing a SOHO or home user to run email, web services via Apache 2, DHCP, and other services while having a full workstation for day to day activity. MigrationSERVER on Stagecoach provides access to server functions via the Webmin interface or SSH.

With workstation and server hardware becoming more powerful, a workstation and server is now feasible for home or business. Stagecoach comes with Automatix to install the most requested applications easily as well as those applications and utilities that have been difficult to install on Linux. As a workstation Stagecoach provides a standard Pioneer Basic Desktop based on Kubuntu. As a server, Stagecoach provides the full functionality and stability of an Enterprise Server.

SOHO and Enterprise applications such as the ATLANTIS CRM/Supply Chain Management, Calendaring, backup, email, Userful Desktop Multiplier, accounting and much more. Within workgroups companies can have workgroup email, calendaring, and webpages defining the group and much more all backed up to a central location. Home users can use Stagecoach for family email servers, web servers and much more. Combined with the Userful Desktop Multiplier, companies or home users can expand their users up to 10 from 1 from a single workstation as well.

Depending on applications and usage Pioneer Stagecoach minimum requirements are a P4 1.6 or higher processor with 256 meg of memory. Technalign recommends a P4 2.8 with 1 gig of memory for active server and workstation usage, although testing by Technalign Partners have run extensively with a P4 1.6 and 512 meg of memory while running day to day processes on the workstation, including games such as World of Warcraft on CrossOver Office and a full server with websites, email, DHCP and more.
