Technalign releases Pioneer Stagecoach Release 2.1 combined desktop and server - Includes
additional server applications Cedaredge, CO, June 1, 2007: Technalign, Inc. has released Pioneer Stagecoach Release 2.1 of it's base Linux Operating System. Pioneer Stagecoach Release 2.1 is being released on DVD. Many enhancements were added in the latest version of stagecoach on both the server and workstation. Additions to the workstation include OpenOffice 2.2, additional games, Guarddog Firewall as well as the KlamAV anti-virus utilities to name a few. On the server side Postfix, Sendmail, PHP5, as well as spamassassin were added to the mix. Webalizer was also added to allow analysis of traffic on websites on Stagecoach. "Both the business communities as well as the user community have requested that additional utilities and applications be added to Stagecoach," claims Technalign CEO Dianne Ursini. "Pioneer Stagecoach Release 2.1 now includes most everything an individual home user, SOHO, or workgroup requires for daily tasks as well as much needed server functions. We hope the community embraces Stagecoach and uses it as a vehicle to learn servers and workstations for the job market as Pioneer products find it's way into more businesses." Pioneer Stagecoach Release 2.1 represents a perfect learning tool for many individuals, allowing someone to learn an excellent Linux desktop as well as a complete server. Since Stagecoach provides both SSH as well as Webmin for server management, an individual may learn either function or both to become acclimated on operating a Linux server. Although it is recommended that most businesses run a separate server such as MigrationSERVER, this version is perfect for a small SOHO, or an individual learning Linux. Pioneer can be downloaded from the Pioneer download pages. Technalign's Pioneer Linux products are free to Consumers and Nonprofit organizations. Commercial and those requiring support from a Partner, or Technalign directly must purchase a boxed set. Those running Pioneer Stagecoach 2.0, as well as beta versions, are recommended to backup and reinstall Stagecoach 2.1 and not perform the upgrade. About Technalign Copyright
