Pioneer Basic
represents a new means of supporting Linux by providing an unprecedented
7-year lifecycle. 7-years means that you won't have change your
system frequently with releases and that for 7-years you'll be provided
updates for security and major changes to applications. Technalign
maintains it's own set of repositories based on Debian. New releases
for Basic products will continue to be released over 7 years based
on Release Packs. Release Packs will provide new versions
based on 3.0 when there are just too many updates that must be pushed
out to the desktop. If you maintain your Basic 3.0 release product,
you won't need the Release Packs.
Pioneer Basic
products come in different flavors. Each one fits the requirements
of each individual or company. The Pioneer Basic Release 3.0 products
are based on the premise that each of you want to customize your
own desktop to how you want it to work and look. It's a bit different
than many distributions cramming many different applications on
you and then having to remove applications you don't want.
Pioneer Basic
Release 3.0 lets you do what you want with your desktop. It's that
simple, you only need to install what you want. Don't know how?
Well the commercial versions come with support and you'll get help
as well as a manual to explain how it's done. You may use the Forums
and Knowledge Base resources also.
Partners are
there to help you get started as well as helping you find what you
need or ask questions of community members as well as other users
of Pioneer. Those 3D boxes/DVD cases were created with Xara Extreme
and you get make you own 3D graphics also by installing Xara on
your own personalized systems with Pioneer Basic!
